Castlebridge and Surrounding Area This strand of this project was developed and produced by Michael Fortune as part of a project conducted with Castlebridge Day Centre in late 2013 and early 2014. The project was supported by Wexford County Council as part of their ‘Artist in the Community Scheme’ and features information on fifteen sites of importance from the parish of Castlebridge. The project develops upon a folklore collection, entitled Spoken Treasures, which Michael undertook in the centre in 2006 as part of a project that was supported by The Castlebridge Historical Society and Wexford Library Services. Originally produced and disseminated on DVD, Michael has now uploaded the complete collection and is available to view online as a digital archive and resource for the local community and beyond. Click Here to View. This project is part of a larger umbrella project by Michael which documents sites of importance in villages around Co. Wexford. Please note most of these sites are private land so please seek landowners permission before entering onto their property. Map researched and designed by Michael Fortune, 2015.
